Hey y’all! It’s Lucy here!

I’ve always been an artist and an adventurer at heart :) Growing up, you could find me either reading a good book, painting nature, or running around outside with friends. When I discovered photography in high school, I couldn’t believe how perfectly it combined all of my passions: art, people, stories, and the outdoors. And on top of that, I found it to be an incredible way to bless people with memories that would last longer than a lifetime.

The moment that made me decide to turn my photo hobby into a business was when one of the senior girls I was photographing started crying during our session. I had told her she was beautiful and showed her one of the photos I had taken, leading her to tell me that nobody had ever made her feel beautiful before. Realizing the power that photos have to make people see themselves how God sees them, as beautifully and wonderfully made, made me want to take photos of people forever.

After high school, I journeyed to Colorado, where I spent nine months studying at a Bible School in the heart of the Rocky Mountains… and where I met my now husband! We currently live in BC, Canada, but due to immigration work laws, I’ve kept my business in Washington and travel down frequently for weddings and sessions. Gives me a good excuse to come visit friends and family, too!

This is my third year as a full-time photographer, and I am loving every second of it! It brings me so much joy getting to tell the stories God writes in y’all’s lives through the images I create. I could not imagine a more perfect job!

When I’m not out taking photos or behind my screen editing, you can find me out traveling, adventuring under the stars, hiking up in the alpines, curled up with a good book, or baking homemade sourdough.

My passion for weddings

I love weddings simply because I love marriage. Hebrews 13:4 reads, “Let marriage be held in honor among all.” I believe that God created the marriage covenant as an image of the covenant between Christ and the church. Just like we promise in marriage to “never leave nor forsake one another,” Christ has promised to do the same for us. In the trials and the joys, He is with us.

During our ceremony, we had a time of musical worship and I truly felt Heaven come down. To look out and see everyone that we love dearly, standing together in the same room, celebrating our marriage with us, was truly the most beautiful thing I’ve ever experienced. Marriage is such a special commitment and I am eternally grateful I have photos of it all. Let me do the same for you!
