Photography is an industry and profession that requires a constant pursuit of growth. Both in the ART and in the BUSINESS. Regardless of how long you've been a photographer, there is always more to learn. Here me when I say, I'm still learning! That's part of the fun of it :) My goal with offering mentor sessions is simply to share what I have learned over my five years in the industry and to hopefully help you get a little (or a lot) closer to your goals. Every photographer has their own unique style and way of doing business, so the insight I have to offer is simply what has worked, or not worked, for me. My aim is that you leave your mentoring session feeling encouraged, motivated, and empowered with new knowledge to go and build the business you've felt called to create.
If you're like me, the primary reason you decided to start your own photography business was so you could have more freedom. Freedom to make your schedule, set your own prices, do what you love, and still be fully present at home. You want to LOVE your job, not resent it for taking you away from the things you do love. But unless you learn not just how to be good at photography, but good at business, your business will run your life. And friend, that's not what you want.
As photographers, it is vital that we can offer our clients not only captivating photographs, but more importantly, an unforgettable, enjoyable customer experience. And that requires us to show up with confidence, and yes, invest in learning how to do that. I've spent the last five years learning how to turn my hobby into a profitable, sustainable business. HANDS ON EXPERIENCE AT A COUPLEs OR PORTRAIT SESSION
We will meet over FaceTime or Zoom for a full hour to chat about whatever area of your business you'd like help in. I will ask you to submit questions beforehand that I can prepare content for, but you're also welcome to ask me spur of the moment questions during our call. This is perfect if you only have a few things you'd like to go over together, or one thing you'd like to dive deeper into.

We will meet either bi-weekly or monthly (minimum of three meetings) over FaceTime or Zoom for a full hour each time. This is perfect if you are wanting to dive deep on multiple topics. Meeting regularly allows me to follow your progress and help guide you along your way. This also gives us more time for hands-on things like help with editing in Lightroom, or setting up Honeybook.
If you've ever wished you could be a fly on the wall at my couples or portrait sessions, this is your chance! I will set up a shoot to bring you along to, where you'll get to watch me interact with and pose my clients. You'll also get the opportunity to direct them, as well as guidance on how I work with lighting and scenery to tell a story. This is a great way to gain confidence walking into your own sessions!!
